It may induce skepticism in companies already relatively content with their current phone system, but the fact of the matter is that now is the ideal time to upgrade to digital VoIP service. For one, the provisions allow for an easier and speedier communication system both within and outside of your office. But before that, it’s important to understand why its time to get rid of your old phone system.

Let’s say you have a standard communications set up at your office, consisting of a phone system with a voicemail inbox for each phone, a separate fax line, and an Internet set up that includes individual employee e-mail accounts. All these hard lines coming into the office are separate features on separate bills, raising your operation costs. While one may think that this organization works just fine, the reality is that as the world (and business) move further and further into an online realm, the incorporation of new technology and the ability for employees to work from remote locations provides the impetus for employees to consolidate these separate lines into one manageable system.
